TRANSFER AN .IT DOMAIN

Check your DNS: during the procedure you will have to decide whether to keep your current DNS or pass over to RDN. Please pay careful attention to your DNS configuration since the competent Authority will need to check the DNS at the moment the Change maintainer (or transfer of an .it domain) is requested. If the DNS are incorrect, the transfer will be refused. We recommend that you pass over to our DNS in order to take advantage of the additional services included in the price of your domain transfer and to have your online site's visibility guaranteed.

Remember the Letter of Change Maintainer: at the end of the procedure, a completed letter with your personal information will be generated. You must print and, if necessary, complete any blank spaces (without changing any of the information which was completed by the system), sign and mail the letter to the Italian Registration Authority at the address found on the letter itself. If you do not send this letter the change in maintainer (or transfer of an .it domain) will not be completed. Lastly, remember that the letter needs to be signed by the person indicated as the current administrator (admin-c) of the domain you are transferring.

TRANSFER A .COM, .NET, .ORG DOMAIN

Verify domain's status on. It's possible to transfer only the domains is status ACTIVE or OK; if your domain is in a different status, please contact your current registrar and request a status change.

Check the admin-c email address: before you begin the procedure, check that the domain's administrator's (admic-c) email address is active and up-to-date. If it is not, it will be impossible to complete the transfer of the domain.

Check your expiration date: before you begin the procedure, check that your domain has not expired and will not be expiring within the 10 days after you complete your transfer request. If it is expired or soon to expire, you need to renew it first through your old Registrar and then request the transfer to RDN. Remember that the transfer request cannot be completed if you registered o transfered your domain in the last 60 days.
